Mika Management Solutions, LLC’s core mission is to provide customized services to meet our clients’ specific needs and project goals. Mika identifies and creates value at every stage of the real estate development process including evaluating the suitability of the site for the client’s particular use; feasibility analysis; managing the due diligence investigations; preparing and managing development schedules; selection and management of consultants, design professionals and contractors; coordinating and expediting governmental entitlements, permits and approvals; construction management; and project close-out.
Our Principal’s professional career has been as an Owner’s representative and Developer’s representative and understands and appreciates our client’s mission, needs, and goals. We understand the importance of maintaining schedules and budgets.
Michael D. Kaney, P.E., Principal is a seasoned development professional with thirty-one years of design and construction management experience of commercial projects, including twenty-six years in real estate development managing pre-construction and construction activities for mixed-use developments, regional shopping centers, grocery anchored shopping centers, single tenant developments and residential land development and charter school development throughout multiple states in the U.S. In addition, Michael has experiences with office and industrial projects. His professional experiences include both ground up development, as well as adaptive reuse and renovating buildings.
Michael’s current and previous professional experiences include managing, coordinating and interfacing in all aspects of the development activities including site analysis and feasibility, budgeting, cost analysis and cost control, scheduling, due diligence investigations, project design, entitlement and permitting, construction management/construction administration and project close out.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Option, from North Carolina State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of North Carolina and Florida; he is a licensed General Contractor in North Carolina; he is a Certified Stormwater SCM Inspection and Maintenance Professional; he is a Certified Construction Stormwater Qualified Inspector and formerly a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in Florida.
